Upstate NY, we go!

We booked a last minute Airbnb stay in upstate New York (October 7th 2020). Hancock, New York to be exact, a tiiiiiiiny smidget of a town by the Delaware River. We cooked, ate, watched movies, fished and ate some more.
We drove around for some time to find a fishing spot, ten minutes or so into it, jon caught a small mouth trout!! Exciting times.
Breathing in the fresh and crisp morning air was probably my favorite moments. And eating together.

Barcelona Day 3 - Last Day

Ahh, last day blues. We decided to just take it easy today to relax before our flight back. Donuts from our favorite neighborhood spot, and a walk to the park, Parc Ciutadella. The arch reminds me of both arches in Paris and Washington Square Park of New York. We just laid out on the grass and I admired my new piece of jewelry that Thomas got me to remember our trip from :)

Lunch was at Divercub S.I., which I just found out, has permanently CLOSED! This is extremely sad news as it holds such delicious memories here with my dear love. We walked along the beach until we decided on this spot that was tucked away, but still overlooking the waters. We managed to snag a spot after being turned away, the host was kind enough to call me back and let me know he would be able to seat me on a shared table until one opened up. Such joyous times to enjoy a white sangria, amazing food, and spectacular views.

After the cab ride home, Thomas suggested a bit more last minute shopping. And last minute shopping we did!! (I did!!) I’ve been eyeing this Gucci purse for awhile, and decided, when in Barcelona! (or did the white mimosa decide that for me, ha!)

I’ve yet to wear it outside yet, it hasn’t left its dust bag, actually since we’ve arrived home, now almost one year later. But it’s a forever piece I’ll have and love, and cherish.

Thanks for joining along, all these Europe vacation travel posts are about to reach its one year anniversary. I’ll figure out a way to somehow re-live it again.

Thank you my love, Thomas for being the best travel company I could ever ask for, I love you so much and cheers to more in the years ahead!

Bar Canete - you must go here

Bar Canete deserves a full post on its own. it exceeded any and all expectations we had. we actually almost forfeited our 3 month prior reservation cause we were too “tired”. but we rallied, got out of our lounge wear and hailed a car. BEST DECISION EVER. First off, the service here is IMPECCABLE!!!! Five star experience, hands down. Our server was both entertaining, hilarious, and overall so humble and welcoming. We even got invited into the kitchen for a group photo!! We’d love to have the opportunity to visit again.

Barcelona Day 2 - we're loving it here!

the food in barcelona completely blew us away. I would say that every single meal we had was top notch. I want to go back!! we discovered La Perillosa after going to Park Guell/Gaudi Park. It was like discovering a hidden gem that was far from tourists, a lucky find! But within that neighborhood, Thomas found ANOTHER good restaurant we wanted to try. So we paid up, and beelined to the seafood spot before it closed. Worth it!! I wish I had two stomachs to try everything :)

One of these days we went to la familia sagrada, it’s all a bit fuzzy which days we did what now, but omg - it was breathtaking. Extraordinarily breathtaking.

Barcelona Day 1

this has become a photo dump to try and catch up to current times. as these photos will soon be one year late in posting. but I still wanted to share it somewhere! someplace I can look back on and see a collection of memories. honestly - there’s so much to catch up on, it may just simultaneously be posted with current events.
